One Marshall tried to move people on, once, prior to the main race but did not ask to see tickets or ensure the free loaders did not return. In past times the Italian police frog marched them off the course doesn't happen now. On the stands be prepared for ticketless men (mainly) to be in your way and blocking stairways. There's a difference between genuine fans who consider their neighbours in these areas and drunk louts.

If you go with General Admission be prepared to be surrounded by beer drinkers and smokers just before the main race. The expected rain storms leave many mushy areas that could be covered with straw or planks to facilitate visitors and traffic. Common practice now for men to urinate in the nearby bushes n plain view. The toilets (and rubbish bins) were up to the top - no sign of being emptied for the three days - go armed with your own WC roll and wipes. So, any purchases were obtained from the stalls outside of the course ( which were not any more expensive). Sitting in First Variante (which had the shortest walk) in 2018 we couldn't be bothered to queue for up to an hour to reach the centre shops and the one decent ladies toilet. which have to be collected after the race-inconsistent bag and pocket searches by amateurs. 2018 has proved to be the most frustrating in this respect with water bottle tops removed, battery chargers etc. Also once seated on the metal bench,if you need to leave the stand you have to queue to leave and to return. Expect long queues to get into the track, to reach any stand, to get (overpriced) food and drink and toilets. Went with an organised group so transport from Como to and from track well organised. For Ferrari fans this is an essential experience if expensive.
